The multi-disc release features 88 tracks of predominantly unreleased material that have been considered the “Holy Grail” by some Dylan fans. The six-disc deluxe edition of Bob Dylan – More Blood, More Tracks – The Bootleg Series Vol. 14 features the complete New York sessions in chronological order including outtakes, false starts and studio banter that took place in 1974 at A&R Studios on September 16, 17, 18 and 19. Additionally, the set also compiles the only recordings remaining from Dylan’s sessions at Minneapolis Sound 80 from December ’74. According to the press release these takes represent “the multi-track masters of the five performances included on the finished Blood On The Tracks album. Each of these has been remixed and remastered for the deluxe edition of More Blood, More Tracks.” The deluxe box set comes with a hardcover photo book containing liner notes by rock historian Jeff Slate and a complete reproduction of one of Dylan’s handwritten notebooks that show “the lyrical development of the songs that would eventually comprise Blood on the Tracks.”.
